Remzi SAVAS (1947)

 

 

 

 

 

1947                               Born in Eşme.

1969                               Graduated from Department of Painting-Handicrafts, Ankara Gazi Institute of Education.

1969-70                     Worked as a teacher of painting at Akçadağ Teacher Training School, Malatya.

Was successful in the Ministry of Education's competition as prescribed by the Regulation 1416 and was sent to France to have specialist training on sculpture.

1970-71                     Learned french at Sorbonne University.

1971-74                     Had specialist training at State School of Fine Arts, Paris.

1974                               Graduated from the Department of Sculpture, State School of Fine Arts, Paris.

1974-75                     Worked at the Department of Plastic Arts, State School of Applied Fine Arts, Paris.

1975-85          Had a teaching position at Gazi  Institute of Education and Gazi Higher School of Teacher Training.

1982                Invited by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, worked at the 13^th Summer University of MARYL_LEROI National Institute of Public Training, at the animated statues workshop on the subject of "Body and Its Space".

1983                               Received the degree of Master of Arts from the Institute of Social Sciences, Hacettepe University.

1985                   Received a teaching position at the Department of Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts, Hacettepe University.

1987                   Became an Assistant Professor.

1987                Joined the First Biennial of European Art Schools at Toulouse, France.

1990                Joined the Art Schools of Mediterranean Countries Meeting held by the Mediterranean Countries Cultural Exhange Institution (ECUME).

1993                Became a professor.

                        Present Being one of founders of the Department of Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts, Hacettepe University. He worked as the Chairman of the Department until 1998, Presently, works as a teaching member of the department.
