The documentation of a work of art in press and publications is crucial for its existence beyond its exhibition. Through a mix of practical exercise and theory, the course reveals the equipment, environment and image aftercare required in recording all manner of artwork for posterity.
You will learn:
• How to photograph artworks of different mediums
• How to format photo shoots, with best equipment and environment
• How to treat, disseminate and archive images
Fine art photographer Stephen White has photographed works and exhibitions in key art institutions across Britain for over two decades. He is the photographer of choice for galleries such as White Cube and many artists ranging from Damien Hirst to Antony Gormley.
