In the late 18th century Western art was

centered in Neoclassicism, which emphasized

history and myths; and Romanticism,

which emphasized the artist's emotions.

After this, the doors for Modern art were opened.

In contrast to the two era's preceding it,

Modern Art bluntly presented the truth

of the world and treated the realistic and

everyday side of life with importance. (Realism)
